SLABBING
Tiled fireplaces are predomenantly used in the solid fuel industry as they are idealy suited for high temperature use. Other products like slate and granite are equally suitable.

The Slabbing method used has not changed over many years, with the exception of innovative lightweight slabbing materials, which gives obvious advantages to handling and installation.
We still manufacture contract tiled fireplaces for many local authorities and housing association use, Examples of which can be seen below
